One-Way Travel Document for Nepali Nationals

The Embassy of Nepal may issue a one-way travel document to Nepali nationals who are not in possession of a passport currently and need to travel to Nepal immediately. This document will be issued only after verifying the authenticity of the applicant's national identity documents, such as a citizenship certificate, through the due verification process.

Required Documents:

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Completed Travel Document Application Form: Click HERE

  • A copy of the Nepali citizenship certificate.

  • A copy of the Nepali passport.

  • For minor applicants: A copy of the minor/birth certificate and copies of both parents' Nepali citizenship certificates.

  • Three passport-sized photographs (45 mm x 35 mm).

  • A self-addressed prepaid return envelope with a tracking number (not required for self-pickup).

While scanned copies have been accepted for travel in some cases, applicants are strongly advised to carry the original hard copy of the travel document when traveling to Nepal to avoid any inconvenience.
